School Bus Crashes With Vehicle On CT Roadway One person received minor injuries during a crash between a vehicle and a school bus in Connecticut. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 7:30 a.m., Monday, May 20, at 38 Indian Trail in Waterbury. According to Lt. Ryan Bessette with the Waterbury Police, the school bus had 14 students at the time, and no injuries were reported by the bus operator or any of the students.  Bessette said the operator of the other involved vehicle was transported to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries.  The incident remains under investigation. Update: 5 Students Injured In CT School Bus Crash This story has been updated. Five students were transported to a hospital, and 10 were evaluated for injuries following a crash involving a school bus and a truck in Connecticut. The crash occurred in West Haven around 9 a.m., Thursday, March 14 on Campbell Street near Terrace Avenue. New Haven Public Schools spokesperson Justin Harmon said the students on the bus were headed for Benjamin Jepson Magnet School. CT School Bus Driver Faces DUI Charge After Crash A Fairfield County school bus driver has been charged with putting 26 middle school students at risk when he crashed into a FedEx van. Harold Bollings, age 64, of Stratford, was arrested on Tuesday, March 1, on a warrant for the incident which took place on Wednesday, Jan. 12 in Stratford. Two Injured, Including Student In CT School Bus Crash, Police Say A Fairfield County student and a school bus driver were hospitalized after the driver struck a utility pole. The crash took place around 3 p.m., Monday, Feb. 28 on Mill Plain Road in Fairfield. When officers arrived on the scene they found a small First Student school bus from Tomlinson Middle School, had struck a utility pole, said Sgt. Michael Stahl, of the Fairfield Police.  The driver of the bus sustained non-life-threatening injuries and a student complaining of stomach pain were both transported to an area hospital, Stahl said. One Hospitalized After Crash Involving School Bus In Region One person was injured in Western Massachusetts during a multi-vehicle crash with a school bus. The crash took place in Hampden County around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, in Springfield on Chestnut Street, according to the Springfield Fire Department. When rescue crews arrived on the scene, they found one passenger who had to be extricated from a passenger vehicle and taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, the department said. There were no additional injuries reported to the passengers on the school bus.
