The incident took place in Darien around 6:40 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 on Pear Tree Point Road. According to Sgt. Man Who Crossed Double-Yellow Line In CT Under Influence, Police Say A man is accused of driving while intoxicated after police said he crossed the double yellow while driving in Fairfield County. Robert Oxer Sr., age 71, of Darien, is facing charges of operating under the influence and failure to drive right in the Sunday, Oct. 10, incident, according to the Darien Police Department. At about 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, an officer reportedly saw a southbound vehicle on Long Neck Point Road in Darien crossing the double yellow line into the northbound lane.
