Ford Recalling 45K Vehicles For Faulty Door Latches That Could Swing Open: Nhtsa Ford announced a recall of more than 45,000 vehicles that have faulty door latches that could potentially break, allowing them to fly open while motorists are driving.  The recall includes the 2015 Ford Fiesta, 2016 Ford Fusion, and 2016 Lincoln MKZ models, according to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA). Speeding 22-Year-Old Nabbed In CT For DUI, Driving On Suspended License, Police Say A speeding 22-year-old Fairfield County man was charged with allegedly driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license. Pedro Jesus Aguilar Madrid, of Stamford, was stopped on Thursday, Nov. 23, in Wilton driving a Ford Fusion for driving 68 mph in a 30 mph zone, said Wilton Police. During the stop, Madrid was found to be under the influence of alcohol, said Lt. Anna Tornello, of the Wilton Police. Ford Recalling 1.2M Vehicles Due To Potentially Faulty Brakes More than a million popular Ford models are subject to a recall due to safety concerns about front brake hoses that could potentially leak fluid. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a recall notice for 1.2 million Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles that were produced between 2013 and 2018 due to the condition. Police Officer Injured In Head-On CT Crash A Connecticut police officer was injured along with several others during a head-on crash with a vehicle that allegedly crossed the center line on a busy roadway. The crash took place in Hartford County around 4:45 p.m., Tuesday, March 15 in Glastonbury on Hebron Avenue. Person Carjacked In Connecticut By Three With Gun, Police Say Police are searching for three men who allegedly carjacked a person at gunpoint in Fairfield County. The incident took place around 1:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 8 in the 200 block of Cottage Street, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management. According to Appleby, the men approached the driver of a Ford Fusion and threatened the victim before taking off with the car. Bridgeport police are investigating the incident.
