CT Woman Killed During Domestic Event, Son Injured, Police Say A Connecticut woman was shot dead by a man during a domestic violence incident and her son was injured. The incident took place in Hartford County around 8 p.m., Monday, July 17 on Oakland Terrace in Hartford. According to Lt. Stamford Man Caught With Glock Following Crime Stoppers Tip, Police Say A Stamford man was charged with criminal possession of a firearm after police received a tip from Crime Stoppers that he was in possession of an illegal firearm. Members of the department's Narcotics and Orange unit were able to use information in the tip to identify the man as John Carolos Ruis-Franco, age 18, said Stamford Assistant Chief of Police Richard Conklin. The two were arrested in Middlesex County in the Town of East Hampton on Monday, May 16.
