Two Killed After SUV Hits Deer In New England Two people were killed on when their SUV hit a deer on a busy roadway in Massachusetts. The incident took place in Middlesex County on I-495 in Chelmsford around 4:50 a.m., Friday, June 3. When troopers arrived on the scene they discovered a 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by a 53-year-old Acton man in a stand of trees in the median, said Trooper Brandon Doherty.  The man and his passenger were determined to be dead on the scene, Doherty said. The announcement of an arrest was made in Massachusetts by Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett on Wednesday, April 27, that after nearly 34 years, a suspect has been nabbed in connection with the murder of 11-year-old Melissa Tremblay in 1988. On Sept. 12, 1988, Melissa's body was discovered in the old Boston & Maine Railway in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She had been stabbed to death. School District In Region Appoints New Superintendent A veteran educator in New England has been named as the newest superintendent of a Western Massachusetts School District. The School Committee voted unanimously 5-0 to name Dr. Frank Tiano, the interim middle school principal at the Dover-Sherburn Public School in Norfolk County as the newest head of the Ludlow School District, officials announced.
