Martin Guay, Vice President, Business Development at New Britain-based Stanley Black & Decker, and Ted Yang, founder of several companies and nonprofits including 4CT, the state’s largest COVID relief fund, and President of Cantata Media, Daily Voice’s parent company, are set to serve six-year terms on the Board, replacing two departing members. 22-Year-Old Charged In Death Of Ccsu Student A Fairfield County man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a student at Central Connecticut State University in Hartford County. Brandon Maynard, of Danbury, age 22, was charged on Wednesday, Aug. 9 for the death of Saradina "Sara" Redman, age 21, who was found unresponsive in her residence hall on the CCSU campus in New Britain on Sunday, Feb. 26. Maynard was apprehended in the town of Danbury by local police and later transported to the Central Connecticut State University Police Department on an outstanding arrest warrant, according to a spokesper…

Two CT Officers Killed In Shooting Posthumously Promoted Two Connecticut police officers killed in an ambush-style shooting have been posthumously promoted. The two, Sgt. Dustin DeMonte and Officer Alex Hamzy were killed in Hartford County on Wednesday, Oct. 12 in Bristol.
