Snow May Blanket Wilton This Weekend

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — The first snow storm of the season may drop a few inches of snow in Wilton, Weston, Easton and other parts of central Fairfield County.

After a slight chance of snow Friday night, snow will begin falling later Saturday and get heavier Saturday night, the National Weather Service says. The first winter storm watch of the season — a rare event for October — has been issued for central and northern Fairfield County and will be in effect from Saturday morning to Saturday night.

The heavy, wet snow could knock down tree limbs, causing power outages, the weather service warns.

By the time the sun comes out Sunday, up to three inches could be on the ground. The trick-or-treating forecast for Monday night is clear skiers and temperatures dropping from the 50s to the high-30s.
