Cell Phone Photo Leads To Arrest Of Norwalk Woman After Hit-Run Darien Crash, Police Say Cell phones led to the arrest of a hit-and-run driver in Fairfield County when she dropped her device, struck another vehicle, and sped away, but not before a photo was taken of her license plate, police said. A man was traveling north on Hoyt Street in Darien at 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13 when he slowed down for traffic, at which point he was rear-ended by a red Nissan Rogue being driven by Norwalk resident Yumiko Nagahama. Stop Of Speeding BMW In Darien Leads To DUI Charge For Stamford Man, Police Say A Fairfield County man driving a beaten-up BMW nearly double the posted speed limit while allegedly drunk in Darien was arrested over the weekend. An officer on patrol near the intersection of Hoyt Street and Woodway Road at approximately 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1 spotted a BMW driving at approximately 55 mph in a posted 30 mph zone. When the vehicle passed the officer on Hoyt Street, one of the headlamps fell off, and a traffic stop was conducted.
