Woman, 45, Charged After Incident Involving Intoxicated Teen In Darien, Police Say A 45-year-old woman is facing charges after her involvement in an incident with an intoxicated teen, according to police. Darien Police say they responded to a Gardiner Street residence Sunday, May 12 around 1 a.m. on the report of an extremely intoxicated 16-year-old female who was allegedly unconscious. The teen was transported to the hospital for evaluation. The teen’s mother allegedly told officers that she had been dropped off at the residence by the parent of her daughter’s friend, identified as Amanda Smith, 45, of Darien. Investigators from the Darien Police Department were dispatched to a Sunswyck Road on Wednesday, Jan. 9, where there was a report of a stolen motor vehicle. According to police, the homeowner said that a friend of his son, Piscataway, New Jersey resident George Peele, 20, had stayed at the home the night before.
