Facebook, Instagram Issues Resolved After Widespread Outage: Meta
Facebook and Instagram users were locked out of their accounts Tuesday morning, March 5 in what appeared to have been a widespread outage. Hundreds and thousands of both Facebook and Instagram users had reported problems on DownDetector as of 11 a.m. The issue was resolved at approximately 11:45 a.m. Meta spokesman Andy Stone addressed the outage on Twitter: Earlier today, a technical issue caused people to have difficulty accessing some of our services. Facebook, Instagram Go Down For Users Throughout World
This story has been updated. Some of the most used social media sites and apps around the world were down for around six hours. Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger all went down just before noontime Monday, Oct. 4. All four platforms are owned by Facebook and have a combined three billion users. Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp Experiencing Outages Worldwide
Millions of users of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp have been experiencing outages throughout the world. Those outages were first reported just before 7 a.m. Sunday, April 14. The main Facebook.com domain remained unavailable just before 9 a.m. WhatsApp messages aren’t being sent or received, and the Instagram app is not updating. A month ago, on March 14, Facebook experienced its worst outage ever, with outages lasting up to 24 hours.
