There was gridlock, and one closure, on four of the area's major roadways as drivers hit the roadways on the eve of July 4th. A crash caused the closure of a stretch of the Saw Mill River Parkway near the border of Mount Kisco and Chappaqua. The crash occurred just before 4 p.m. between Route 35 (Exit 6) in Katonah and Route 172 (Exit 4) in Bedford with stop-and-go delays to Route 22 in Armonk (Exit 3).
