A cafe in Fairfield County perfect for those with specialized diets is receiving a warm reception from visitors.
Botanika Cafe, which opened around March 2022 and is located in Ridgefield at 424 Main St., only serves plant-based organic food made with vegan and gluten-free ingredients.
Popular vegan dishes served by the eatery, which serves breakfast and lunch, include buffalo cauliflower wraps, buckwheat pancakes, crepes, Budha bowls, and pesto avocado toast.

A health food restaurant with locations on Long Island and in Virginia is spreading its organic dishes and motto, "Eat Happy, Spread Love," to its first Connecticut location in Fairfield County.
Organic Krush, which is set to open on Nov. 2 on 374 Post Road E, only uses organic ingredients free of GMOs, hormones and pesticides, and boasts a litany of gluten-free, vegan and paleo options on its menu.

Tequila Escape Kitchen + Cocktail Bar Opens In Ridgefield Bringing Food And Nightlife
"We danced until 3 o'clock," said one of the owners of Tequila Escape Kitchen + Cocktail Bar, which opened with a party on Thursday, May 2 at 439 Main St. in Ridgefield.
"The interior is fantastic, exciting and bold," said guest Kim Bova, the executive director of Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce.
The opening drew a full house, said Steven Kakavelis, an owner along with Paul Nicovic and Angel Pena-Ferna. All three live in Ridgefield.
