It was a slow go for commuters in parts of the area during the Thursday morning commute as a result of four separate incidents. New Black Bear Sighting: This One Is A Real Night Owl There have been no shortage of black bear sightings throughout the area of late. Nearly all, though, have come during the day. But this weekend, we have received word of a bear who's a real night owl - so to speak. A family in Dutchess County tells us the bear has made back-to-back evening visits the last two days. The first came Thursday, Oct. 4 at about 7:30 p.m. at the residence on Gold Road in Stormville. (See photos above.)
