Widespread Internet Outage Affects Google, Amazon, Other Major Websites Some of the largest websites in the world were knocked offline at around midday Thursday, July 22.  The outage rendered financial, travel, retail, and gaming sites unavailable for a brief amount of time. Google, Amazon, Fidelity, Costco, Delta Air Lines, British Airways, and Capital One -- and even the official Olympic website -- were all affected. Police Search For Man Who Allegedly Tried To Take FedEx Delivery Intended For Darien Homeowner Police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to take a FedEx delivery intended for a Darien homeowner. Police responded to the report of a suspicious person on Wednesday, June 19 at 5:41 p.m. at 4 Oak Park Ave. who was described as a middle-aged white male.  The man reportedly had been standing on the street for a couple of hours before the call was made, said Darien Police.
