Greenwich spoiled opening weekend for the Wilton White fourth grade boys lacrosse team, winning twice, 11-2 and 14-3.
Even though the team was not victorious, Wilton got a strong effort from Zach Rossi, who played tough on attack in both games and netted two goals and an assist for the day. The other highlight was Ethan Grandolfo with a hat trick and an assist for the Warriors.
Defensively, Andrew Calabrese worked tirelessly to stop 15 shots from the Greenwich players. In goal for Game 2, Jack Ferguson blocked three shots.
Tyler Previte won seven face-offs, and Cole Barnes contributed an assist and a blocked shot. The rest of the team ran hard, passed well and was unflagging in defending the goal. Wilton hosts Ridgefield Sunday at 4 p.m.
