Wilton Wahoos Splash Down in New Haven

WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Wahoo Senior swim team made a splash at the Elm City Invitational, with many of the swimmers reaching age-group and senior cut times to end the short-course season.

The following Wilton swimmers swam a top-16 time:

In the 13/14 group, Brooke Hendee placed third in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke and ninth in the 50 free. Emma Holmquist placed fourth in the 200 breast and 13th in the 400 individual medley.

Maddie Strivastava finished seventh in 100 back. Linsey Cooney placed ninth in both the 100 breast and 200 breast and 13th in the 200 fly. Samantha Florio swam to a 14th place finish in the 50 free. Julia Lewis finished 15th in the 200 breast and 16th in the 100 breast. Karina Trentos swam to a 16th place finish in the 100 back. Daniel Xie finished 13th in the 200 individual medley and 14th in the 200 breast.

In the 15/over group, Grace Hendee took second in the 100 free and the 200 free, third in the 500 free and 100 back and fifth in the 50 free and 200 back. Hannah Armstrong placed 11th in the 100 back and 12th in the 400 individual medley.

Callum Breene finished fifth in the 100 back and 13th in the 200 breast. Max Bloom swam to an 11th place finish in the 100 breast and 14th in the 200 breast. Daniel Hernandez took 12th in the 200 back and Jack Abbott swam to a 15th place finish in the 200 butterfly.
