WILTON, Conn. - The Wilton High girls basketball team fell to RHAM High School in Hebron in the second round of the Class L state tournament, 48-44. The Warriors tried to claw their way back from a nine-point deficit with less than three minutes to play but came up a few baskets short Friday.
Maddy Fulton capped her fantastic high school career with a team-high 19 points, but no other Warrior managed more than six points. It was the second year in a row Wilton was eliminated in the second round of the state tournament.
Wilton qualified for its first conference playoff berth since 2003 and won its first conference playoff game since 1996. It finishes the season with a 15-8 record.
