Wilton 7th Grade Girls Basketball Face Loss To Tough Rival

WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton 7th grade girls travel basketball team sponsored by Tavern on 7 Bar and Grill lost a tough game, 32-23, against Westport PAL on Friday, Dec. 19.

The junior Lady Warriors had a three-point lead at the end of the third quarter but fell behind in the fourth quarter as the result of some superb shooting by the Westport team late in the game. Wilton scored first with a steal and follow-up basket early in the first quarter by Sophie Sudano.

Also contributing to the Lady Warriors offensive totals were Zoe Rappaport, Zara Wiest, Nancy Lynch, Ashleigh Coltman, Francesca Goncalves and Paula Perez.

Defensively, the Lady Warriors saw solid play from Taylor Lamantia and Brynn Burke. Injured Warrior Anna Breen, who the team hopes will return after the break, supported the team from the sidelines.
