WILTON, Conn. Wiltons Kendall Lyons and Dariens Megan Keane had strong performances for the Colgate University womens track and field team in a meet last weekend at Boston University.
Lyons, a senior captain who ran for Wilton High, ran a personal best 2:59.1 in the 1,000 meters. Keane, a freshman who ran for Darien High, had a personal best of 2:17.41 in the 800. Both women rank among the top 15 in the Patriot League in their events.
Colgate has become a haven for Fairfield County runners. Westons Alexandra Atkinson, a senior sprinter, is a team captain. Staples grad Emily Hanrahan and Greenwichs Kiki Kates are also on the roster.
