Wilton High School Hosts Jazz Symposium

WILTON, Conn. – Like jazz? The 36th Annual Jazz Symposium will take place at Wilton High School on March 2.

Seven jazz ensembles will gather at the Little Theater from 4:00 to 9:30 p.m. and each school will receive feedback by a panel of judges. Ensembles invited to the symposium include Wilton, Norwalk, Brien McMahon, Darien, Danbury and Fairfield Warde.

Western Connecticut University and the Berkshire Big Band will also be performing. The Berkshire band features the Wilton High School band director Chip Gawle and assistant director John Rhodes.

Rhodes began the symposium in 1976 as a way to give high school ensembles an opportunity to showcase their music.

7:10 Danbury HS Jazz Ensemble

9:30 Berkshire Big Band
