WILTON, Conn. -- The budget presented by Wilton Schools Superintendent Kevin Smith for the 2016-17 school year has a 1.27 percent over the previous year's budget, according to the Wilton Bulletin.
Last week Smith presented the proposed budget, which would go from $81,107,310 in 2015-16 to $80,972,640 for 2016-17, and would break down as follows, said the Wilton Bulletin;
$49,696,710 to salaries.
$13,703,882 to employee benefits.
$4,066,446 to professional services.
$1,256,742 to property services.
$9,493,443 to other services, including transportation.
$1,586,820 to supplies.
$1,168,597 to equipment and “other.”
