WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton First Selectman Bill Brennan will not seek re-election this fall and will officially retire on Nov. 30 at the end of his fourth term as the town's chief executive, according to the Wilton Bulletin.
He made the announcement at Monday's Board of Selectmen meeting.
“It’s been an honor to serve the citizens of Wilton, and I have a full agenda for the next five months, I can assure you," Brennan joked, according to the Bulletin.
He has been first selectman for a decade.
