Carole Young-Kleinfeld will be awarded "Outstanding Democrat" and Dick DuBow will be honored for a "Lifetime Achievement," for his service to the community. Gary Rose, professor and chair of the Department of Government, Politics and Global Studies at Sacred Heart University, will be the keynote speaker, providing provocative insight into the upcoming presidential election.

"Carole has shared her considerable talents, not only for Wilton but also for the State of Connecticut, in the critical area of voting rights and standards with discernment and excellence," Democratic Chair Deb McFadden said. "Dick has demonstrated his commitment to our community for decades with sound judgment and integrity. I was proud to serve with him on the Board of Selectmen, where I witnessed his impact and dedication firsthand."

Over the last eight years, Young-Kleinfeld has served as registrar, administering all elections for the Town of Wilton, hiring and supervising elections officials, maintaining Wilton's registration database, leading workshops for statewide registers, and monitoring elections legislation. As vice-chair of the Connecticut Registrars Certification Committee, she developed the first statewide certification program for registrars of voters.

DuBow has served Wilton in a variety of positions over nearly four decades. He held key positions on the Board of Education in his two terms, served two terms and was chair of the Board of Finance, and served two terms on the Board of Selectmen.

The event is open to the public. Earlybird tickets are $30 for adults: buy them here. They will be $40 at the door. Tickets are $5 for those 18 and younger. You can also mail checks payable to the Wilton DTC to P.O. Box 103, Wilton, CT 06897.
