Police received a 911 call on Tuesday, Oct. 17 from somebody claiming that someone was trying to take their child. Police quickly responded to the area of Belden Hill Road and Wolfpit Road in Wilton.
When officers arrived, they learned that a supervised visit with the Department of Children and Families had been cut short due to the aggressive behavior of the biological parents, according to police. The parents, identified as a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman from Bethlehem, had followed the DCF worker with their car and tried to block her from leaving, police said.
Once the parents were able to stop the DCF worker, the mother tried to enter the worker's car in an attempt to reach her child, according to police. Both parents were charged with breach of peace.
