The man — who didn't show any weapon — entered the bank shortly before 3 p.m. Friday and escaped with some cash, police said. Police are being tightlipped about the investigation and didn't release any further details or even a description of the suspect.
No injuries were reported in this incident, and the bank will remain closed until further notice, police said.
Wilton Police were assisted by Weston, Redding and Ridgefield Police Officers.
The investigation was continuing.
The bank is across the street from Caraluzzi's on Route 7, in Georgetown, near the borders with Ridgefield, Redding and Weston.
