Wilton Police Charge Danbury Woman With Failing To Return Rental Car

WILTON, Conn. -- A 66-year-old Danbury woman was arrested after police in Norwalk found she was driving a stolen car during a traffic stop, according to Wilton police.

Jane Brenner was arraigned Monday on a charge of second-degree larceny, police said. She was held on $2,000 bond, Wilton police said in a post on Facebook.

She was stopped on Route 7/Main Avenue in Norwalk when police were alerted through a License Plate Reader that the car she was driving was stolen in Branford, police said. 

The stolen vehicle belongs to a car rental agency in Branford, and it had not been returned per the rental agreement, police said.
