Officials from the Wilton Police Department announced on Thursday that they have arrested Derby resident Casey McAdams, 36, and West Haven resident Alicia Sheremeta, for their roles in the alleged burglary of the Danbury Road gas station.

According to police, during the early hours of Dec. 19 last year, Sheremetta drove the two to the gas station in order to commit a burglary. McAdams reported forced entry into the store by breaking the glass door, taking cigarettes and cash before taking off in Sheremetta’s vehicle.

An investigation into the incident led to the arrest of the two, who were charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny and criminal mischief. They are also facing conspiracy charges in relation to each of the other counts.

Both Sheremetta and McAdams are currently being held in the custody of the Connecticut Department of Corrections in lieu of $50,000 bond. Police said that the arrests have led to the conclusion of the burglary investigation. Each of the two suspects is due in court later this year to answer the charges.
