Update: WILTON, Conn. — Wilton CERT assisted Wilton police with traffic and the road closure Friday afternoon due to a motor vehicle accident on Danbury Road/Route 7 near Sugar Hollow Road, Wilton CERT said.
The reopen to all traffic after a few hours.
original story: WILTON, Conn. — A three-car crash was causing delays on Route 7/Danbury Road in northern Wilton on Friday afternoon, according to the Wilton CERT.
The roadway was closed for in both directions after the crash occurred, but was partially reopened, CERT said.
The location of the crash was north of Bruce Bennett Nissan and Caraluzzi's Georgetown Market on the northern edge of Wilton near Sugar Hollow Road, CERT said.
Traffic tie-ups were reported throughout the area.
