Police Break Up Underage Drinking Party in Wilton

WILTON, Conn. – A resident called the Wilton police when a party on Powder Horn Hill on Thursday got too loud, police reported.

When police arrived, officers reported several cars were parked in the driveway. As they approached the house, officers heard bottles being smashed and people running out of the house. Katherine Lee, 24, a resident of the home, answered the door and told police there was no party and she had no idea what they were talking about, police said.

Upon inspection, police said they saw several alcoholic beverage containers on the ground. During a search, police found two underage boys in a closet, each holding two cases of beer.

Lee admitted there had been a party but said she had not provided the alcohol, police said. Police said they were told most of the attendees were 18 to 20 years old. Lee was charged with permitting minors to possess alcohol and was given a court date of June 11.

A 19-year-old from New Canaan was given a ticket for possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana.
