Last October, a victim reported that a wallet had been stolen from their a while working at a residence on Chessor Lane, said the report.

A police investigation revealed that the victim's credit cards were later fraudulently used at several merchants in the North Haven and Meriden, according to police.

One alleged fraudulent purchase occurred at a pizza restaurant in which the order had been placed by phone, police said.

A request for subscriber information on the phone number used to place the order allegedly identified Kenneth Sarcione, 35, of West Haven, as being connected to the phone number, said police.

Further investigation revealed that at the time of the reported theft from the vehicle, Sarcione had been working in the Town of Wilton less than one mile from where the theft occurred.

In addition, surveillance footage of where the fraudulent purchases occurred reportedly identified a suspect vehicle that was similar in appearance to a vehicle owned by Sarcione as well as a female suspect that investigation revealed is known to Sarcione, Wilton Police said.

Sarcione was arrested by warrant on Thursday, July 11 at Norwalk Superior Court where he was subsequently arraigned. He is charged with:

  • Third-degree burglary,
  • Sixth-degree larceny,
  • Sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny;
  • Second-degree take payment card,
  • $500 on revoked payment card,
  • Conspiracy to commit less than $500 on revoked payment card,
