Wilton Police say Jean Pedraza, of Stamford, was traveling south on Danbury Road in the area of the Mobil gas station on Sunday, May 26 around 11 p.m. Pedraza was driving a 2001 Mazda 626 when he was allegedly involved in a two-car accident.
Pedraza was at fault during the accident, according to police. Further investigation revealed that Pedraza was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, police say.
Police say Pedraza began performing a series of standard field sobriety tests but was arrested due to his refusal to continue.
Pedraza was transported back to police headquarters, where he refused chemical testing. He was charged with DUI, released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to return to court on Thursday, June 6.
