Wilton's Merwin Meadows Closed for Silt Removal

WILTON, Conn. – Due to silt removal at Wilton’s Merwin Meadows Park, the Parks & Recreation Department has closed the park until further notice.

The town is removing the silt from the pond that has accumulated from recent storms. The process of removing the silt requires heavy equipment and stockpiles of materials on the beach area of the park.

Only the playground area and walking trail will remain open. The beach area will be off limits to the public.

Allen’s Meadows is also closed for the winter and will reopen in late March.
