WILTON, Conn. -- A Weston resident and owner of a Wilton Pizzeria was ordered to pay a $10,000 fine for violating state water pollution control regulations because of septic problems, according to the Weston Forum.
Matt Criscuolo, who owns Toozy Patza Pizza, was attempting to siphon wastewater from the pizzeria's septic system and drain it into catch basins that drain directly into the Norwalk River, the Weston Forum reported.
Criscuolo said his mistake was unintentional and resulted from being unable to reach professionals to fix his septic problem, according to the Weston Forum.
