More Items Reported Missing at Ogden House

A caregiver at Ogden House in Wilton reported that her leather document pouch, which contained her South African passport, visitor's Visa, nursing license and other paperwork as well as about $40 cash, was missing from her apartment there. According to police, the victim last used her passport Dec. 9, realized it was missing Dec. 11 and reported the items missing Dec. 13.

The case was the third incident in the past two-and-a-half weeks of Ogden House residents reporting that personal belongings were gone. The first took place Nov. 25 when a purse and wallet went missing out of a resident's room. On Dec. 7, a resident reported a wallet and medication missing. The wallet was later found after an aide said she hid it while the resident was in the hospital.

According to Lt. Donald Wakeman of the Wilton Police Department, a detective has alerted Ogden House residents of the incidents. Wilton police not know whether the cases were related, Wakeman said.

? Wilton police pulled over the vehicle of a 23-year-old Wilton resident Dec. 10 because one of the brake lights was out on their trailer. During a search of the vehicle, police smelled marijuana and noticed an empty baggy where the smell seemed to be coming from. No narcotics were found, however, the driver received a ticket for the burned-out brake light.
