Heavy Rains May Bring Flooding to Wilton

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. - Downpours may cause flooding in parts of northern Fairfield County because recent heavy rains have saturated the ground and swollen streams and rivers. A flood watch has been issued for Easton, Weston and Wilton through Thursday afternoon. 

"The main threat will be for urban and poor drainage areas and for quickly responding rivers and streams," the National Weather Service says .

Up to three-quarters of an inch of rain could fall through Thursday morning, the Weather Service says.
