Among them is Mo, an adult male with a sleek black coat. Mo was found wandering in a local resident’s yard, shelter officials say. At the time, he was very thin. His owner was tacked down and contacted, but wanted nothing to do with him, shelter organizers say.
“If you want a cool, laid back, grateful boy, then come in and meet Mo,” shelter officials say.
Mo is estimated to be between 6- and 8-years-old. He is neutered, up-to-date on routine shots and house trained. For more information about Mo, click here.
Also available for adoption is Tia, an older adult female who came to the shelter after her longtime owner died. Having lived in a single pet household where she was dotted on, shelter organizers say Tia is not happy living at the shelter.
“A shelter is no place for an older cat to have to spend their days, especially so unhappily,” the shelter says about Tia. “Please, give this girl a chance."
Tia will be best suited in a quite home without young children and multiple pets. She is spayed, up-to-date on routine shots and house trained. To read more about Tia, click here.
Last, but certainly not least, are Shady and Ozzy, who arrived at the shelter together after their owner moved. Shady, a black and white male, is 15-years-old but was given a clean bill of health by a local veterinarian, shelter officials say.
Shady has lived his entire life in one home. When Shady was 5, his owner adopted Ozzy, a now 10-year-old male with short, orange fur. Like Shady, Ozzy is said to be in excellent health.
“[Shady and Ozzy] are safe with us and now hoping that someone will look beyond their age and see what a great opportunity owning an adult, even senior, cat can be,” the shelter says. “The folks who do adopt senior cats will tell you that there is no greater honor.”
Shady is described as a good boy and is neutered, up-to-date on routine shots and house trained. Shelter officials say they will work with anyone who will give him a chance. Read more about Shady here.
“We're hoping someone could find it in their hearts to take pity on him and give him what he deserves after all those years of devotion to someone who really let him down in the end,” the shelter says about Shady.
Ozzy is described as mellow and loving. As a mature cat, he doesn’t get the “kitten crazies” or behave badly. Like Shady, he is neutered, up-to-date on routine shots and house trained. For more information about Ozzy, click here.
