WILTON, Conn. Eleven bands stepped onto the stage at Wilton's Trackside Teen Center for the first-ever Battle of the Bands, and three walked away winners.
The day started off with Fairfield band Friends of Enemies at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and ended at 6 with State of Mind of Wilton. Nearly 300 people passed through Trackside to listen to the great sounds of the young talent from all over Fairfield County.
Each band spent 20 minutes on stage, entertaining the audience and winning over the judges. In the end, only three could walk away with prizes.
Run on the Sun took home the main prize of an endorsement by Black Market Customs, a T-shirt deal from Restitched and a $100 Guitar Center gift card.
State of Mind, a Wilton band, walked away with second place, reeling in an endorsement by Black Market Customs and a $50 Guitar Center gift card. Pampalibros of Weston rounded out the podium by bringing home third place and a $50 Guitar Center gift card.
The other bands that participated included Borrowed Glory of Weston; Until Euphoria of Norwalk; and Sentinel, Add123, Downstairs Mixup and Banana Riot of Wilton.
