Wilton Friends School Holds Open House for Camps

WILTON, Conn. – Wilton’s Connecticut Friends School is hosting an open house for its summer camp programs on Sunday, Feb. 12, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the school on 317 New Canaan Road.

Camps are held during the school vacations in February and April for children ages 3 through 5. They feature hands-on activities, learning and creating songs and stories as well as inside and outside play times.

During the summer, camps are offered for children entering kindergarten through eighth grade running from June 25 through Aug. 3. Summer camp highlights community-building games, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and weekly theme projects. The themes for 2012 are building, water, theater, trees and plants, and fibers and air. Field trips to theme-related venues and swimming trips are included. Enrollment can be done weekly or for the full season.

A camp for children ages 3 to 5 is being offered in June and July. The activities will be mainly outside and age appropriate.
