WILTON, Conn. Local actors looking for a role in a classic American stage comedy might want to audition for the Wilton Playshop's upcoming production of Clarence Day's "Life With Father."

The play, set in 1880s New York City, tells the story of Day, his wife Vinnie and their four sons. It was adapted from life-based stories written by Day for The New and ran on Broadway for seven years. According to Wikipedia, it holds the record for longest-running non-musical play. In 1947, it was turned into a film with Elizabeth Taylor and in 1955 was made into a CBS television show.
