The girls are from Boucher's 26th District, which includes Bethel, New Canaan, Redding, Ridgefield, Weston, Westport and Wilton.
Girl Scouts of Connecticut sponsored the day to support opportunities for girls to develop their leadership skills, while increasing their awareness of civic engagement.
“We were thrilled to see so many Girl Scouts and supporters at Girl Scout Day at the Capitol,” Mary Barneby, CEO of Girl Scouts of Connecticut, said in a statement. “This is a wonderful hands-on experience for our girls, as they see how they can be a force for good and exercise their voice with local legislators.
"A day such as this builds a girl’s courage, confidence, and character, so that she can move forward and make the world and her local community a better place.”
