Plays, Concerts, Crafts Fill Wilton's Weekend

WILTON, Conn. – It’s a weekend full of crafts, concerts, films and plays in Wilton. Just take your pick of the events happening the weekend of Feb. 10 to 12.

Friday

• 8 p.m. – “Life With Father” starts its run at the Wilton Playshop. The play tells the story of the Day family — Clarence, Vinnie and their four sons — in 1880s New York City.

• 8 p.m. – Wilton High School Senior Play takes the stage with “Mary Potter.” The parody of the Harry Potter series follows the adventures of Mary Potter and her adventures against the Dark Lord Walmart.

Saturday

• 10 a.m. – Kids can make Valentine's crafts all day at the Wilton Library. The event takes place until 5 p.m.

• 10 a.m. – Members of the Fairfield County Chapter of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America will be stitching in public all day in the Gallery of the Wilton Library. They will have many hand-embroidered items on display.

• 7:30 p.m. – As a part of the “New Perspectives” film series, the library presents “Waste Land.” The film looks at the human condition in Brooklyn and Brazil along with the garbage.

Sunday

• 2 p.m. – Ambler Farm is hosting a Valentine’s Tea, serving up a classic tea along with assorted sandwiches and pastries.

• 4 p.m. – Violinist Leila Josefowicz will perform as a part of the Candlelight Concert series at the Wilton Congregational Church.
