New Coffee Shop Opens in Wilton

WILTON, Conn. – The red ribbon was cut Tuesday morning celebrating Wilton’s newest business, the Coffee Barn on Danbury Road.

The store technically opened Saturday, owners Kayla McArdle and Karen Piazza said. But members of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce, First Selectman Bill Brennan and state Sen. Toni Boucher joined them for their “official” opening.

“I’m so happy to see this building being used for something so warm and inviting,” Boucher said. “And the coffee is fantastic.”

For Brennan, the store's opening was proof that Wilton’s economy is improving. “It’s a clear indication that they see Wilton as a very desirable location to be in,” Brennan said. “It’s a good sign for the community.”

The response that McArdle and Piazza have received since they opened Saturday is encouraging. “The people of Wilton have been so supportive here,” Piazza said. “It’s overwhelming.”

The Coffee Barn is open seven days a week and is located at 392 Danbury Road.
