Letter: Come Out for Wilton Clean-Up Day

WILTON, Conn. — The following is a letter from First Selectman Bill Brennan on Wilton's annual Community Clean-Up Day.

All citizens are invited to invest a few hours of their time to clean up litter from their neighborhoods.

Saturday, March 31, 2012, is Wilton’s annual townwide Community Clean-Up Day, from 9 a.m. to noon. Please join your friends and neighbors in an effort to gather up unsightly litter in your own neighborhood or in one of several public areas.

The annual townwide Community Clean-Up is sponsored by the Conservation Commission, and all individuals and organizations are welcome to participate. Plan to meet at 9 a.m. by the gazebo on the Town Green in Wilton Center.

Town officials will provide plastic collection bags and gloves to volunteers. Lists of high-litter target areas will be available to provide specific road assignments to volunteers requesting guidance.

Saturday’s weather forecast looks great! So please plan to join your neighbors and help clean up our town. By working together for a few hours, we can put the sparkle back into our beautiful community!
