Heavy rains flooded major roads and forced Easton schools to close on Monday. The schools initially were on a two-hour delay, but at 8:06 a.m. the administration sent an email to alert parents that schools would be closed instead.
The following roads were still closed as of 11 a.m. Monday:
Wells Hill Road bridge
Silver Hill Road bridge
Sections of Old Redding Road
Route 136 in Fairfield
Earlier on Monday morning, police closed sections of Morning Glory, Morehouse and Everett roads after the heavy flooding.
