Police In One CT City Respond To 2 Shootings, 1 Homicide Overnight Police in one Connecticut city responded to two shootings and one homicide within hours of each other. The incidents took place in New Haven on Monday, Sept. 4 beginning around 9:30 p.m. and running into early Tuesday, Sept. 5. Double-Fatal Shooting: Men Found Shot In SUV On CT Roadway Police are investigating a double homicide after two men were found shot to death in a vehicle on a Connecticut roadway. The incident took place in New Haven around 7:55 a.m., Saturday, April 1 in the area of Winthrop Avenue and Goffe Terrace. Officers responded to the area after receiving calls of nine gunshots being fired and located two men in a parked Acura MDX mid-block on Winthrop Avenue, said Capt. CT Hit-Run Victim Saved By Good Samaritan, Police Say A Connecticut pedestrian who was struck by a hit-and-run driver remains in critical condition after being aided by a Good Samaritan. The incident happened just before 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, when New Haven Police and Fire responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on Sherman Avenue between Elm Street and Whalley Avenue, in New Haven.
