Fatal Crash: Witnesses Wanted After Incident Involving 32-Year-Old Victim In Shelton
Police are searching for witnesses to a one-car crash that killed a 32-year-old Connecticut resident. The collision occurred in Fairfield County around 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15 in Shelton at the intersection of Shelton Avenue and Pine Street. The man from Ansonia, whose name has not yet been released, was the only occupant and was later pronounced dead, said the Shelton Police. Teen Seriously Injured Doing 'Wheelie' On Dirt Bike On CT Roadway
A 17-year-old Connecticut teen was seriously injured while allegedly doing a "wheelie" on a dirt bike. The incident took place in New Haven County around 4:45 p.m., Monday, May 22, near East Broadway and Shea Avenue in Milford. An initial investigation revealed that a green Kawasaki dirt bike was traveling west on East Broadway near Shea Avenue when the operator lost control and fell from the dirt bike while he was doing a "wheelie," police said. Pedestrian Killed By Vehicle Driving On Wrong Side Of CT Roadway, Police Say
A Connecticut woman was killed by a vehicle that was traveling on the wrong side of a busy roadway. The crash happened in New Haven County at around 7:20 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13 in Milford. The victim was a 60-year-old woman from Milford, according to Milford Police. The woman was walking Herbert Street when a vehicle, traveling north, crossed the centerline and struck her as she walked westbound on the side of the roadway, police said. Two Killed In Overnight Crash That Caused Hours-Long Road Closure
Two people were killed overnight in a two-vehicle crash in Fairfield County. It happened around 11:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9, on River Road in Shelton, said Shelton Police Lt. Christopher Nugent. An initial investigation found that two vehicles, a white BMW 5 series with four occupants, and a white Toyota Rav 4 with one occupant were involved in the crash, Nugent said. "There are two people confirmed deceased at this time," Nugent said. "The two deceased were occupants in the white BMW." Police are asking the public for help in locating a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured an off-duty Bridgeport firefighter. The incident took place around 11:18 p.m., on June 28, at the intersection of Stratford Avenue and East Main Street, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. Three Darien Police Officers Promoted
The Darien Police Commission and Police Chief Ray Osborne have announced the promotions of three officers on Wednesday, May 29. Nick Aranzullo, who started with the department in 2005, was promoted to Lieutenant. In 2009, Lt. Aranzullo assisted with the coordination of the K-9 program and formed the department’s first K-9 unit with canine partner “Zulu.” Lt. A 51-year-old motorcyclist was killed after crashing with a vehicle, getting thrown into the air and landing on the hood of the car, with his head becoming lodged in the windshield as the driver fled the scene, police said.
