James L. Perkins of Port Chester, 83, Greenwich Firefighter
James Lewis Perkins, 83, born to Frederick and Charlotte Lewis Perkins of Port Chester, died on Tuesday, Nov. 12 in Fort Pierce, Florida. He graduated from Port Chester High School in 1954 and married the former Dorothy Rennie in 1957. They were married for many years and have four daughters, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Jim became an electrician in 1960 after completing a five-year apprenticeship and was employed by the Port Chester Electric Company. Greenwich Worker Demoted For Taking Photos Of Murder Victim, Crime Scene
A Town of Greenwich employee who admitted to taking photos of murder victim Valerie Reyes of Westchester and of the crime scene has been demoted. Reyes body was found stuffed inside a red suitcase around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, in a wood area of Greenwich by Public Works employees. Town Of Greenwich Employee On Leave After Taking Photos Of Dead Woman
Just hours after the identity of the Westchester woman found bound and stuffed in a suitcase was released, Town of Greenwich officials are confirming that an employee is on paid administrative leave for taking photos of the murder victim and the crime scene and sharing them.
