Teen Dies After Being Shot In Face While Handling Gun With Girl In Bridgeport, Police Say
A teenager has died after he was shot in the face while he and another teen were handling a gun in Fairfield County, according to authorities. The 16-year-old boy died on Monday, Sept. 11 in Bridgeport following the incident on Saturday, Sept. 9 in the bedroom of a home in the 300 block of Pacific Street. According to Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police, responding officers found the teen shot in the face. 17-Year-Old CT Girl Dies After Falling Out Of Moving Pickup Truck
Connecticut State Police are investigating after a 17-year-old girl died after falling out of a moving pickup truck. The incident took place in Hartford County on Fairfield Drive in the town of Burlington on Sunday, around 1:25 a.m., Sunday, May 21. State police said the truck, a 2013 Chevy Silverado, was traveling in an unknown direction when Sophie Ringquist, of Burlington, the front seat passenger, fell out from the vehicle as it was moving. ID Released For Boy Who Died In CT After Falling Through Ice
Authorities have released the identity of a 17-year-old boy who died after falling through the ice at a state park. Dutchess County resident Noah Thompson, of Amenia, was found about 2:50 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, after police responded to the Taconic State Park on Shagroy Road in the Town of North East for a report of someone who had fallen through the ice. Thompson and another teen had walked 20 to 30 feet out onto the ice when it broke, sending both into the water, according to Capt. John Watterson, of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. CT High School Student Killed In Crash
A 15-year-old Connecticut high school student who was a police cadet was struck and killed while riding his bike. The crash happened around 3 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 20 in Hartford County, in the parking lot of a Mobile gas station in Berlin, at 2005 Berlin Turnpike. Police responded to the gas station for a report of a car striking a bicycle, said Berlin Chief of Police Matthew McNally. The victim, Chase Anderson, of Berlin, was transported to the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain where he was pronounced dead, police said. Police say the driver remained on the scene. Three Teenagers Killed, One Seriously Injured In New England Crash
Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the lives of three teenagers overnight in Western Massachusetts. Just before 1 a.m. Sunday, June 26, Massachusetts State Police patrols from the Sturbridge Barracks responded to the crash in the town of Brimfield in Hampden County in the the area of 40 East Brimfield-Holland Road. Responding troopers found a 2006 Nissan Sentra that had gone off the road and rolled over approximately 40 feet into the wood line, Massachusetts State Police said.
