Body Of 20-Year-Old Man Found In Stamford, Police Call Death 'Suspicious' Police are calling the death "suspicious" after a 20-year-old Hispanic man was found in a grassy area in Fairfield County. The man was found in Stamford around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18 near the pathway that connects Woodland Avenue and Walter Wheeler Drive. Capt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police said the man was found after the department received a 911 reporting a man lying on his back in the area. Man Nabbed For Attempted Fairfield County Murder On Election Day A Fairfield County man wanted since election day for attempting to gun down another man in broad daylight on a busy street has turned himself into police. Brandon Turner, age 26, of Stamford, was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 16, and charged with attempted murder in connection with the Tuesday, Nov. 3 in Stamford, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.
