Fairfield County Thieves Again Targeting Unlocked Vehicles, Police Say Despite the current health emergency and stay-at-home orders, crime has continued to strike on Fairfield County town, with thieves targeting unlocked cars overnight in residential neighborhoods.  Trumbull Police said that over the weekend on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5, the town has one vehicle stolen and eight were opened and property was stolen, said Trumbull Police Lt. Brian Weir. Weir said the stolen vehicle was left unlocked on Fernwood Road and that at least one of the eight reported thefts from other vehicles included the use of the stolen vehicle. The April…

Car Lands On Top Of Stone Wall In Trumbull Crash A car landed right on top of a stone wall during a single-vehicle crash. The incident took place around 11:20 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28 in the area of Madison Avenue and Saxony Drive, said officials with the Long Hill Fire Department in Trumbull on Facebook. When firefighters and Trumbull EMS, arrived on scene they found a car on top of a stone wall, perfectly centered. EMS provided treatment to the driver of the car, who was the only occupant at the time of the crash, while fire crews checked for any hazards. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
